Friedrich Kunz is Senior Advisor for Market Design at TenneT. His work focuses on shaping the electricity market to support an integrated and decarbonized energy system. Current topics include improving market and grid tariff mechanisms to better align investment and operational decisions with grid requirements. Until 2017, Friedrich Kunz worked as a research associate and project manager at the German Institute for Economic Research (DIW Berlin) and published his research in various renowned journals. He holds a Ph.D. in Energy Economics and a diploma in Industrial Engineering from the Technical University of Dresden.
