Niklas Högel holds a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Hamburg University of Technology (TUHH), where he completed his thesis in 2022. He initially worked as a high‑voltage technical grid planner at Schleswig-Holstein Netz, contributing to the integration of renewable energy sources and the development of 110‑kV infrastructure projects in Schleswig-Holstein. During his time as Chief of Staff to the CTO, he supported various strategic innovation topics, including the integration of large‑scale battery systems with flexible connection agreements. As Head of Strategic Asset Management at SH Netz, he now focuses on shaping the long‑term strategic development of the grid to meet future energy‑transition and regulatory requirements.
