Philipp is a Senior Associate at Aurora Energy Research, where he leads the German Flexibility Markt and German Grid reports, providing in-depth analyses of the market environment for utility-scale battery storage in Germany. He has advised developers, investors, utilities, grid operators, and policymakers on a range of projects and played a key role in developing Aurora’s flexibility products for Germany, the Netherlands, and Belgium. More recently, he has taken on responsibility for developing Aurora’s grid modelling offering for the German market. He holds an MSc in Industrial Engineering from the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), with a specialisation in energy economics.
