Volker Schöller
CTO, Schoenergie GmbH
Volker Schöller, born in 1982 in Trier, is married and has two children. After training as an energy electronics technician and completing a state-certified technician degree in information technology, he co-founded Schoenergie GmbH in 2008, transforming it into a nationwide 360-degree service company for sustainable energy solutions. Since its founding, he has served as CTO, shaping the company’s technological direction and growing the group to over 350 employees. As a TÜV-certified photovoltaic assessor, he brings expertise from network operations and business to innovative projects and is a co-initiator of the SUREVIVE project, researching grid-forming storage in distribution networks with Westnetz, Fraunhofer ISE, and the University of Stuttgart, funded by BMWE. His main focus areas are photovoltaics, grid-forming storage, and intelligent control systems, which he drives forward with great passion.
